Everybody has some material possession that means a lot to him or her. What I wanted to do with this project was to explore the emotions that people feel when thinking about a treasured possession. I asked six models to think about an object that was meaningful to them and to bring it to the photo shoot. During the shoot, I would ask the models questions about the object and try to have a conversation with them about the object they brought. During this conversation, I would take pictures. I chose to print three pictures of each person in order to show the range of emotions these people felt when thinking about the object.
I tried to avoid talking about myself or about anything else that was unrelated to the objects that these people brought with them. I want this project to be strictly about these people, the emotions that these people feel when thinking about an important possession, and the way the camera sees these emotions.

I shot these pictures with a medium format camera (mamiya c330) on kodak 125-PX film...incase you were interested.

...I may put the other 4 series of pictures from this project up sometime but I might not..Im not too crazy about the way they look on the computer.
